How the real exam is set up
The California Department of Real Estate (DRE) states that the salesperson exam is 3 hours long with 150 multiple-choice questions, each with four answer choices, and that the passing score is 70% of the questions. Source: dre.ca.gov/Examinees/TakingExam.html.

What the trial does not do
The trial is a sample of the course, not a substitute for the pre-license education DRE requires. DRE requires three college-level courses (Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Practice and one elective from DRE's list) to qualify for the salesperson exam.
